It is my understaning that for Silk, you can get in without Japanese ability. But I wouldn't go there expecting anyone to speak English. It is Japan afterall...
Gaijin? I know that Japanese ladies will take their foreign boy-toy to these places. You won't see much of the reverse though. At Olive, I've heard recently that it is common to usually have one mixed couple in the group. Having a good looking partner will net you a lot more action than a partner of lesser attraction.
At Olive, they will tell you the rules verbally and you have to understand what they are saying before they'll let you in. Someone can correct me if this has since been changed.
Also, it is recommened to not bring any type of cell phone or camera. You will have to leave it with your clothes before they let you into the main hall. (Speaking of Olive again here...) You can store your stuff in a station locker or something to reduce any risk of losing your articles.
If I get any more info or remember something later, I'll pass it along.

That sounds spot on. there *were* some other clubs around a number of years ago, back when people were making ridiculous salaries. Those clubs either dried up (went belly up) or got shut down by the police.

| If I am lucky enough to make an evening at one of these places work out, it would likely be with a gaijin friend of mine who looks remarkably like (in body and face) the photo of Bar Refaeli shown here. So, I should get a big boost in the partner looks category, for her however, not so much... But in any case, we would be a gaijin-gaijin couple. Do you think it would be better to bring a Japanese date? That would be possible too, probably.

silk is pretty lame really. hit or miss but lots of single creepy Japanese guys. the set up is good but rarely (except for parties) is there anything going on. Although I have been there before 12 and there was some excitement on one occasion. One kinda fugly woman who couldn't have sex with her husband was talking dirty to me while a hot young chick was sitting on the floor with rosary beads and a negligee on but after last train it all dried up. I did get laid though by a chick with a hot body but I am not sure if she was staff or not. You could bounce a quarter off that ass.

I went to Silk last Thursday and it was closed. Their website has been changed too, so I don't know what is happening but it seems to be out of commission for now.

People who want to participate have to send them a mail (use the link on the last line of their Japanese top page) and include their "handle".
